Lotus: Heikki Kovalainen h�rom m�sodpercre k�zel�tette meg a gy�ri Renault aut�t Abu Dhabiban, a finn pil�ta ism�t er�s teljes�tm�nyt ny�jtott. A hagyom�nyos, k�t ki�ll�sos strat�gia mellett d�nt�tt, utols� etapj�ban felz�rk�zott Senn�ra, aki boxutca �thajt�sos b�ntet�st kapott. Azonban Kovalainen helyez�s�n m�r nem tudott jav�tani. Az elm�lt hetek, h�napok nem igaz�n siker�lt Lewis Hamilton sz�m�ra, �s m�g a brit vil�gbajnok is elismerte, hogy enn�l a szezonn�l nem volt rosszabb �s gyeng�bb, mi�ta a Formula-1-ben versenyez. Hamilton szak�tott a bar�tn�j�vel �s az elm�lt h�tv�g�n Abu Dhabiban �gy t�nt, hogy 2008 vil�gbajnoka ism�t megtal�lta a „s�rgak�ves” utat �s most �jra a r�gi form�ja fel� k�zel�t.
Heikki Kovalainen, aki 2008-ban �s 2009-ben volt Lewis csapatt�rsa a McLaren ist�ll�n�l, a k�vetkez�ket mondta:„Gratul�lok ahhoz, hogy Lewis visszat�rt a gy�ztes �tra, �s j� l�tni �t, hogy most minden rendben van vele.”

Heikki a 17. helyen fejezte be a futamot.

 “Another pretty good start and from there the whole race was straightforward. I didn’t have any issues for the whole race, the pitstops were good and the strategy worked out exactly was we’d planned, so across the whole weekend this has been another strong event for us. What seems to be happening is that in the first couple of stints, as the race sort of settles down, we are able to keep up with the cars ahead, and that’s obviously a sign of how we have progressed, and that’s again what happened here. When we went onto the primes for the last stint the pace obviously dropped a bit but we had another strong push to the end, with Senna losing time on his final set of tyres, and that points to us being able to fight much more closely next year. For now we have one race left, so we’ll shift the focus now to Brazil and make sure we finish the season as strongly as we have been doing since Singapore.”
