"Abu Dhabi's a track that I think everyone looks forward to getting back to. It's just about the best overall venue for F1, with some of the best facilities for the teams that we see all year, a track that has some good technical challenges and pretty much perfect weather.

"As my girlfriend's parents now live in Abu Dhabi we've spent quite a bit of time this year and as well as being a good place to race it's also really good for the time off between Grands Prix. The weather makes training easy and there are several good golf courses where I can keep working on lowering my handicap so it's somewhere I really like going to.

"On track the first sector is pretty quick. If you're anywhere near turn one you can see just how quick F1 cars change direction as we head into turn one, and from there it's almost flat out through turns two and three. After that it's a bit stop/start until the long straight down to T8 where there you have the first clear chance to overtake. From there it's another flat out blast down to T11 and then it almost turns into a street circuit for the final sector. I'm sure for the people watching from the hotel it must look pretty hardcore, but from inside the car it's not too much of a challenge. You need good traction and the braking stability has to be perfect, but once we're through that final sector it's back onto the start / finish straight and the start of another lap."

Heikki Kovalainen: A rajtom rendben volt. A 17.helyre j�ttem fel a rajtot k�vet�en, �s Kobayashit �ld�ztem, �s elh�ztunk a t�bbiekt�l. K�t ki�ll�st tervezt�nk, de az aut� remek�l viselkedett, �s egy hossz� els� etap ut�n �tv�ltottunk egyre. J� volt a ker�kcser�m, de a verseny k�tharmad�n�l probl�m�m volt a KERS-szell ami azt jelentette, hogy Vitaly elment mellettem. Innen m�r csak arr�l sz�lt, hogy bevigyem a g�pet a c�lba. Nem seg�t az, ha t�nkremegy a KERS-ed, de m�g �gy is el tudtam h�zni a m�g�ttem l�v�kt�l, �s biztos el�r�bb v�gzek, ha nincs ez a hiba. //

“My start was good. I was up to 17^th after the first lap and keeping pace with Kobayashi and the pack ahead as we pulled away from the cars behind. We had planned to do two stops but with the way the car was performing we went long on the first stint and switched to a one stop, boxing just after halfway. I had a good stop but about two thirds of the way through the race I had a KERS problem which meant I had to let Vitaly pass. From there it was really just a matter of getting my car to the end of the race. Losing KERS obviously didn’t help but it was still pretty easy to pull away from the cars behind and without that problem I’m sure I’d have finished higher. Now we look ahead to next week’s race where we’ll have a few updates on the car and maybe those will help us close the gap to the cars ahead enough to help us fight for longer on race day.”

T�bb is kitelhetett volna a helyzetb�l, de forgalomba ker�ltem, feltartottak, majd a m�sodik etapomon t�bb aut�val �sszej�tt�nk a 10-es kanyarhoz �rve, �s vesz�tettem a tapad�sb�l. Nem pr�b�lkoztam t�l kem�nyen, �s semmif�le probl�ma nem l�pett fel az aut�val, egyszer�en csak elvesztettem az elej�t, de m�g a kip�rg�sn�l sem vesz�tettem poz�ci�kat, �gy azt gondolom, m�g mindig j� verseny�nk lehet holnap. //

 "It's been a pretty good weekend so far. The balance has been better than we had in Korea and on my first run in qualifying the car felt ok. There was more to come but I had a bit of traffic that held me up and then on my second run I caught up with a bunch of cars going into turn 10 and lost a bit of grip, enough to put me off. I wasn't going in too hard and there weren't any issues with the car, I just lost the front end and even with the spin I didn't lose any positions so I think we can still have a good race tomorrow."
